Blah

I haven't felt like blogging in awhile.  No, I haven't been sick, I just haven't wanted to blog.  I have been in a "funk" as my husband and I call it for the past month or so. No, I'm not depressed, I am just blah.  I think I am snapping out of it now, so maybe I will get back to blogging.  I am not saying this to get sympathy; I am just putting it out there.  I try not to be a Debbie Downer on my blog, but I want to be real, too.  So there you have it.

Oscars 2010

Oscars were last night.  I didn't feel too good, but I did watch the Red Carpet and over half of the awards ceremony.  Below are the looks I like and the looks I didn't.

Looks I Like:

Kristen Stewart
I like the color and fit.  She is glamorous.

Miley Cyrus
I think she looks beautiful.  Perfect color, perfect accessories.  I think it is very age appropriate.

Rachel McAdams
I love the hair and silhouette.  Not big on prints on gowns, but this is nice.

Sandra Bullock
At first I didn't like it, but it grew on me.  Or maybe it is because I love Sandra!

Vera Farmiga
Love the ruffles and color!  And the ruffles, did I mention the ruffles??

Looks I Don't Like

Demi Moore
It is a bad sign when your dress and your skin are the same color and your dress is orange!

Jennifer Lopez
This reminds me of cellophane.  And I don't like fabric attached to the hip, I would have liked it if it wasn't for this.

Mariah Carey
I like the color, but that is about it.  The slit is weird. What is more weird is that she kept touching the slit trying to make it higher and Ryan Seacrest grabbed her hand so she couldn't raise it any higher!!

Zoe Saldana
I love the gold top and the bottom, don't like the middle part.  The bottom reminds me of pomping, but I love it.  I can picture this being two different dresses, a gold sequin one and one fading purple on with the great detailing.

Nothing really wowed me this year, maybe because I didn't feel good, but nothing horrified me.  There is always next year!!

To buy or not to buy

On my way to work this morning I heard an interesting discussion. The question posed was:

Is it ok to spend $500 or more on a Coach purse?

Male co-host opinion: Didn't really have an opinion

Female co-host opinion: If you have the money for the $500 purse you should go to Wal-Mart and buy a purse, then donate the rest of the money to the less fortunate.

People that called in:

Opinion 1: That is crazy. $500 is more than a car payment and a partial rent payment.

Opinion 2: Well I have three, but I got one at the outlet so that's ok.

Opinion 3: if you have the money, then that's fine

Opinion 4: I got my wife's out of the trash, so I didn't have to pay for it. It was in pretty good condition, too.

Opinion 5: I would do anything to have a Coach purse.

My opinion: I couldn't stop lauging about opinion 4! Who digs in the trash looking for a Coach purse?? And who throws away a Coach purse??

I think that if you are fortunate enough to have the money, then you can spend your money how you see fit. That is after you have paid your bills and taken care of your other responsibilties. I don't want to hear how you bought an expensive purse, shoes, etc, but can't afford buy something you actually need.

Priorities people. That is all I am saying!

Anyway interesting discussion this morning.
